SELECTION, MAINTENANCE AND VERIFICATION OF PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

The decree on March 7th, 2013 concerning the selection, maintenance and verification of personal protective equipment used in operations involving a risk of exposure to asbestos requires that the respirators be adapted to the conditions of operations and the morphology of users through the performance of “fit-tests”..

Users should also be trained in the rules & instructions for the care and use of respiratory protection devices (APR).

The conditions for cleaning, storage, overall maintenance and maintenance of the equipment must comply with all regulations and manufacturer’s instructions. After each use, the APR must of course be decontaminated.
